Andrew Payden - Environmental Planner & Biologist

Andrew Paden is an environmental analyst and researcher with practice areas in biology, impact analysis, technology assessment, and business analytics.​He holds a degree in biology from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in biology from CSU Channel Islands. Over the past 16 years Andrew has held a position as a research assistant in the neurobiology laboratory of Eugene M. Johnson at Washington University in St. Louis where his group helped establish the first in vitro model of West Nile virus infection in the sympathetic nervous system, and he has worked on numerous environmental and sustainability projects including modeling sea level rise impacts on coastal restoration projects, mapping arroyo toad habitats, working with urban archeologists, doing GIS mapping projects, among a few. He has also served as an environmental compliance manager for the LA Metro Purple Line Extension, Beverly Hills section. Andrew also currently serves as a Chapter Leader of the USGBC-LA West Side Branch as well as being a member of the EnviroDynamix Brain Trust.
